Job summary

The Willows Inn, part of Soho House, is seeking a Line Cook I to ensure smooth kitchen operations, prepare foods and sauces, and assist Senior Chefs during service. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and positively influence the team to stay calm during busy periods.

A Line Cook I is essential for executing all menu items from prep to plate and delivering top-quality dishes from all stations. You will support the kitchen and contribute to a positive dining experience for members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a fast-paced upscale kitchen.
• Strong understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Proven ability to execute all menu items across stations.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food handler’s certificate.
• Strong communicator and team player.
• Creativity to develop recipes from scratch preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce consistent, high-quality dishes across all stations.
• Prepare pantry and fry station items while respecting allergies.
• Assist with inventory to control food costs.
• Set up stations per guidelines; keep work area safe and clean.
• Monitor waste and temps to reduce costs and protect quality.
• Execute production and à la carte dishes, including specials.
• Support senior chefs during pre/post-service meetings.
• Contribute to Soho House standards for speed of service.
• Mentor junior staff during training sessions.
• Assist cleaning and organization of kitchen and storage.
• Commit to providing quality service and food knowledge.
