Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is hiring a line cook to support its oceanfront kitchen operations in South Beach. You will set up work areas, prep ingredients, and follow standardized recipes to deliver plates that meet quality and presentation standards.

The role requires several years of cooking experience in upscale environments, knowledge of sanitation standards, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Join a landmark hotel with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Three or more years cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or freestanding restaurant.
• Thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
• Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and its use.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and organize work area with all necessary supplies and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and rotate all food products to ensure freshness and quality.
• Prepare and store raw food products properly.
• Follow standardized recipes in preparation and cooking of menu items.
• Plate foods according to presentation guidelines and portion control.
• Monitor finished products and ensure timely service; report delays.
• Ensure quality products are prepared and served promptly.
