Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a Cook to join its culinary team. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of menu items for an upscale, high-volume hotel environment and ensuring adherence to standardized recipes and portion controls.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of cooking experience, culinary training or certification, and a strong knowledge of food safety standards. Flexibility with schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Three+ years cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or freestanding restaurant.
• Culinary training or certification as Cook from a recognized culinary training school.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and organizes work area with all necessary supplies and equipment.
• Prepares and stores raw food products properly, following recipes and plating guidelines.
• Monitors quality and ensures timely service of prepared dishes.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen areas and equipment according to safety standards.
