Job summary

LaunchPad Golf, operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC), seeks a skilled line cook to join our kitchen team. You will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, preparing dishes for golf suites, dining rooms, bar areas, and special events, while following LaunchPad’s recipes and standards for quality and consistency.

You will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely service, maintain sanitation, and support inventory management.

Qualifications

• Two years of culinary education and/or cooking experience.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation practices and quality control.
• Experience with cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures and prep duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with essential ingredients and tools.
• Participate in daily prep work and assembling ingredients.
• Ensure timely dish preparation during peak service hours.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth workflow and timely service.
• Monitor food quality and portion sizes to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
• Follow sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain and report equipment malfunctions to the head chef.
• Assist in inventory management and stock level notifications.
• Continuously learn new techniques and recipes to enhance culinary skills.
