Job summary

Puttshack, based in Chicago with locations nationwide, is seeking a Line Cook for its Oak Brook venue. The role focuses on preparing, producing, plating, and garnishing all menu items to meet executive standards, while setting up the station and upholding sanitation.

The position supports a 7 days/week operation with flexible hours, typically 11am–1am, and schedules that vary with business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen.
• Experience operating, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen tools and appliances such as knives, grills, etc.

Responsibilities

• Bring your 'A' Game each and every day.
• Ensure overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests' needs.
• Follow prescribed portioning controls and par levels.
• Prepare, assemble, and plate menu items according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests.
• Communicate food delays or issues to Culinary Leadership.
• Ability to read a thermometer and food tickets correctly and efficiently.
• Accurately account for all items coming out of a station.
• Understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures, including MSDS.
• Take direction and be a team player.
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook.
• Other projects or duties as assigned, including but not limited to side-work, opening, and closing duties.
