Job summary

Major Food Group's Carbone in the Dallas Design District is seeking a talented Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will set up stations, prep ingredients and cook menu items in collaboration with the kitchen staff.

We value a minimum of 2 years in high-volume or fine dining, a culinary diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and a team-oriented attitude. Benefits include competitive pay, health insurance, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume and fine dining restaurants preferred.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
