Job summary

Osage Casinos is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee and assist in food preparation in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work with the culinary team to prepare hot and cold items, execute recipes, and maintain quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of line or prep cook experience in a high-volume restaurant and must obtain a gaming license and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Two years of line or prep cook experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Understand general culinary knowledge.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and obtain a gaming license.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items for service in cooperation with kitchen staff.
• Follows recipes, controls, portions and presentation as set by the Chef.
• Monitor food waste and prep levels.
• Maintain stocking levels for pantry, line and prep areas.
• Maintain FIFO rotation of items.
• Monitor ticket times as dictated by courses.
• Prepare foods by frying, baking, broiling, sauté, steam and other methods.
• Plate presentation with gravies, sauces, and garnishes.
• Contribute to a team effort and complete related tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
