Job summary

Osage Casino Tulsa is seeking a line/prep cook to maintain an efficient kitchen by preparing hot and cold items per recipes and safety policies. You will work under the Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, controlling portions, managing food waste, stocking pantry areas, and ensuring timely service. The role requires multitasking and a cooperative team mindset, with shift-based evenings and weekends common.

Qualifications

• Two years of line or prep cook experience in high volume fast paced restaurant required.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Understand general culinary knowledge.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and obtain a gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items for service in sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, controls portions and presentation specifications.
• Monitor food waste and prep levels.
• Maintain stocking levels for pantry, line and prep areas.
• Maintain FIFO rotation.
• Monitor ticket times and adjust oven temperatures as needed.
• Prepare foods using frying, baking, broiling, saut, steam methods.
• Plate presentation with gravies, sauces, and garnishes.
• Contribute to a team effort and perform related duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Provide excellent guest service and communicate with staff.
