Job summary

The People Concern in Santa Monica, CA, is seeking a Line Cook to handle daily preparation and cooking of the menu, serving meals at service times and assisting with delivery to other shelter sites. You will help maintain kitchen cleanliness and inventory with the team, and support food safety and quality standards.

The position is 100% onsite at Cloverfield Services Center with a 6:00am–2:30pm schedule, Thursday through Monday, requiring weekend and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or catering operation.
• Ability to read and follow directions in English.
• Must have a California Food Handler's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves all menu items according to policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper presentation and portion sizes for meals.
• Maintains cleanliness and inventory of the kitchen with staff.
• Delivers meals to other sites and loads/unloads meal containers as needed.
• Works weekends and holidays as required.
