Job summary

Farmers Restaurant Group is seeking Line Cooks to support our from-scratch kitchens in the Potomac area. You will portion ingredients, prepare menu components to standard recipes, and work as part of a fast-paced culinary team while upholding food safety and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities include cooking a variety of proteins and vegetables, maintaining station inventory, and supporting other shifts as needed. Growth opportunities exist within a dynamic, farmer-owned restaurant company.

Qualifications

• One year plus of cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume kitchen.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, loud kitchen environment with professionalism.
• Able to read and follow recipes and maintain standards.
• Comfortable teamwork and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic components of each dish using standard recipes.
• Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables with standard techniques.
• Stock and maintain line stations to ensure smooth service.
• Portion food according to standard sizes and recipe specs.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and follow hygiene rules.
• Open/close kitchen, support other shifts, and follow checklists.
