Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Culinary Cook for the Hilton Birmingham at UAB, part of our growing culinary team. The role requires 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience, a valid Food Handler certification, and the stamina to work day, night, and weekend shifts.

You will prepare ingredients, read and recreate recipes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, minimize waste, and collaborate with a world‑class culinary team to deliver consistently high‑quality dishes.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen.
• Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge and skills in cooking procedures (grill, sauté, fry).
• Read and recreate recipes with accuracy.
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment.
• Ensure quality and proper storage of ingredients.
• Minimize food waste through cross-utilization.
• Work with a world-class culinary team to craft menus.
