Job summary

Rubio’s Restaurant Group is seeking a Line Cook to prepare grilled, fried and heated items per Rubio’s guidelines. You will maintain product quality and presentation, rotate inventory, and help control portions in a fast-paced kitchen.

In this role you’ll work with speed and accuracy to meet service time standards, maintain cleanliness and proper temperatures, and follow safety procedures. Team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to read and write in English or Spanish.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and hold grilled, fried and heated products. Ensure products are dated, stored and rotated as needed.
• Manage portion control. Restock grill and fryer area. Count/weigh delivered items. Follow recipe and item builds.
• Read tickets and work quickly to meet Rubio’s service time standards.
• Keep the restaurant clean and maintain BOH equipment; follow Rubio’s dress code and safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations.
