Job Description

Our Cooks @ Magnolia Glen provide high-quality and well-presented food to our residents, guests, and associates, fostering an excellent restaurant-style dining atmosphere.

Full Time: Shifts will vary between 10am & 7:30pm

Weekend availability required

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr - $22.00/hr (depending on experience)

Benefits include: Paid Vacation / Sick Time / 7 Paid Holidays, Medical / Dental / Vision Benefits, 401K, and a free meal each shift.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of creatively designed cuisine
• Cook according to menus, production sheets, and recipes with consideration
• Maintain kitchen and food preparation areas in a clean and sanitary manner
• Deliver invoices to the Dining Services Director promptly
• Maintain records of meals served and food and supplies used as required

Qualifications and Skills

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma preferred
• Minimum 1 year of cooking experience required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Basic competency with technology, including Microsoft Office, internet, and custom applications
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Supportive attitude towards kitchen team members
• Understanding of Mise en Place and proper ingredient preparation

Certifications

• Food Handler’s certification required or willingness to obtain
