Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with food preparation and handling.
• Culinary training or apprenticeship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and abide by state sanitation/Health regulations and hotel requirements.
• Check quality of raw or cooked food to ensure standards are met.
• Prepare and cook foods of all types, regularly or for special functions.
• Open duties: set up workstation, inspect tools, check schedule, organize items, stock storeroom.
• Start prep work for daily menu items.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and available specials.
• Maintain proper storage procedures as per Health Dept and hotel rules.
• Close duties: return items to storage, label and date, clean prep areas, store unused utensils, turn off unused equipment.
• Perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy; work with team and minimal supervision.
