Job summary

Harmony Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen in Virginia Beach.

The role includes following recipe cards, managing stock, and assisting in keeping buffet stocked while ensuring proper temperatures and sanitation throughout shifts. Experience in a related field is preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum one year of experience in related field.
• Ability to maintain a sanitary and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, avoiding overproduction.
• Date and rotate food containers; keep perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use; determine necessary preparation and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items or shortages.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage with date/cover as required.
• Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste per SOP.
• Assist in prepping vegetables and condiments for the next shift.
