Common Bond Cafe in Houston's Tanglewood area is seeking a Line Cook for a full-time role. You will prepare meals per our standard recipes and work closely with the Chef de Cuisine, while helping maintain par levels and the highest cleanliness in the savory section.

Duties include portioning and timely plating, proper use of kitchen equipment, following recipes, and ensuring safe storage. You may assist with receiving orders and back stock, with a focus on teamwork and flexibility.

• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral & written instructions and request clarification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Create meal portions and ensure that food comes out high quality and on time.
• Maintain knowledge of correct use of equipment and operate safely.
• Follow recipes and yield guides; maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and Common Bond requirements.
• Assist with receiving orders and rotation of raw ingredients and back stock levels.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Minimize waste and support food safety.
