Job summary

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is seeking a part-time Line Cook to support the back-of-house team in preparing meals per recipes and health codes. You will communicate with cooks and servers, maintain a clean, efficient station, and assist with closing duties in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires availability for nights and weekends, basic knife skills, and the ability to multitask while staying calm under pressure. This is an in-person position at our Milwaukee location.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork.
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Basic knife skills and cooking knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure timely production of food items according to recipes and health codes.
• Coordinate with cooks, food runners and servers to meet dietary needs and 86 items.
• Keep station clean, organized and closed properly at end of shift.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of work areas and complete daily tasks.
• Follow health and sanitation standards and work calmly under pressure.
