Bars & Recreation seeks a Kitchen Crew Member/Line Cook to join The New Fashioned team in Milwaukee, WI. On-site work with a fast-paced kitchen environment, supporting multiple venues and catering events. The role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience in a professional commercial kitchen is required or preferred.
• Preference given to candidates with line cook experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and cooking per recipes and guidelines.
• Follow prep lists, portions, and presentation specs for high-quality food.
• Set up stations as needed.
• Cook on The New Fashioned line with others in a safe, efficient manner.
• Prepare catering trays for events up to 1,000 people with precision.
• Assist during private events at carving stations or guest-facing roles.
• Prepare for and cook in Bars & Rec Mobile Kitchen.
• Assist with pizzas and commissary food for various outlets.
• Label, date, and store items properly; maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Monitor inventory and notify kitchen leadership of shortages or excesses.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines; proper tool handling and hygiene.
• Collaborate with Hospitality & Operations to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with deliveries inspection and quality checks.
• Wash dishes and assist with other duties as assigned.
