Job summary

Dave & Buster’s/Main Event Entertainment in Port Reading, NJ is hiring a Line Cook who prepares food to standard recipes, upholds safety and sanitation, and works with the service team to deliver fresh, correctly portioned dishes.

Open to flexible days, nights, weekends; requires at least 6 months kitchen experience and food handler certification. A strong teamwork and communication mindset is essential, with opportunities for growth and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of Line Cook and/or Prep Cook experience.
• Food Handlers Certification, as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, team members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Prepping and cooking menu items according to recipes.
• Minimize food waste by proper portions and accurate ticket handling.
• Coordinate with service team to ensure timely, accurate, and fresh meals.
• Adhere to health department procedures and operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and stocked station; perform opening/closing duties as assigned.
