Job summary

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is seeking kitchen help at the Vienna, VA location. This role supports food preparation, cooking, and pantry stocking under the direction of the Executive Chef.

Candidates must be able to work weeknights and weekends and maintain high sanitation standards. Training in Virginia Food Safety or ServSafe is required within 30 days of start date, with opportunities to learn and grow in a dynamic venue environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Previous food prep experience preferred.
• Must work weeknights and weekends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to learn proper cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Completion of Virginia Food Safety or ServSafe training within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking and setup of kitchen stations.
• Prepare food and cook main dishes, appetizers, desserts and snacks as directed.
• Collaborate with expeditor or manager to complete orders on time.
• Grill, steam and fry vegetables, meats, poultry and other foods.
• Present and garnish final dishes per Executive Chef specs.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and proper food handling.
