Job summary

The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is seeking a food service assistant for on-site shifts in Virginia. Pay is $14.45 per hour plus tips, with benefits including a flexible schedule, complimentary performance tickets, and discounts at concessions and the gift shop.

The role requires good communication, teamwork, and adherence to health standards. Duties include stocking condiments, delivering orders, bussing tables, cleaning, and supporting both front and back of house crews.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to work weeknights and weekends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be comfortable working in a hot/humid environment.
• Willing to learn proper cleaning/sanitation.
• Must complete a Virginia Food Safety/ServSafe training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring food items from expediting counter to server trays.
• Nightly preparation of condiments and side items.
• Deliver food orders quickly and accurately to tables/patrons.
• Bus tables and sanitize for the next patron.
• Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Relay customer feedback to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure patrons have the appropriate tableware.
• Set up 3-compartment sink and dishwashing area.
• Maintain dish machine cleanliness and related equipment.
• Deep cleaning of facilities as assigned.
• Set up sanitizer buckets and stations prior to opening.
• Assist Front/Back of House with setup for evening service.
• Wash and properly store dishes, glassware, and flatware.
• End of night cleaning and inventory as assigned.
• Assist with turnover for special events.
• Follow Fairfax County Health Department sanitation standards.
