Job summary

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts seeks a seasonal food and beverage team member at Wolf Trap HeadQuarters in Vienna, VA. Duties include stocking, food prep, quick delivery to tables, and maintaining sanitation standards on-site.

Applicants must be 16+, willing to work weeknights/weekends, and complete Virginia Food Safety/ServSafe training within 30 days of starting. Local address in VA encouraged; on-site work only.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the transfer of food items from the expediting counter to the server trays.
• Nightly preparation of all condiments and side items.
• Deliver food orders quickly and accurately to tables/patrons.
• Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash and cleaning/sanitizing the tables for the next patron.
• Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory.
• Relay customer feedback to the Manager on Duty.
• Setup of the 3 compartment sink and dishwashing area.
• Deep cleaning of the facilities as assigned.
• Follow all Fairfax County Health Department standards and sanitation practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the transfer of food items from the expediting counter to the server trays
• Nightly preparation of all condiments and side items
• Deliver food orders quickly and accurately to tables/patrons
• Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash and cleaning/sanitizing the tables for the next patron
• Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory
• Relay customer feedback to the Manager on Duty
• Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware needed
• Setup of the 3 compartment sink and dishwashing area
• Maintain the dish machine cleanliness and any other equipment as assigned
• Deep cleaning of the facilities as assigned
• Setup of sanitizer buckets and sanitizer stations prior to opening
• Assist both Front of the House and Back of the House staff with setup of facilities for evening service
• Wash and proper storing of all used dishes, glassware, flatware, etc.
• End of night cleaning of the facilities including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, wipe down/sanitize surfaces and equipment
• Assist with opening, closing, and monthly inventory counts as assigned
• Assist with the turnover of facilities and prep for special events
• Follow all Fairfax County Health Department standards. Maintain the highest level of sanitation practices, safe food handling and storage

Qualifications: REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must be able to work weeknights and weekends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be comfortable working in close quarters inside a hot/humid environment
• Have some knowledge of proper cleaning/sanitation or be willing to learn
• Must successfully complete a Virginia Food Safety Training, ServSafe Training or company approved equivalent course within 30 days of start date

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to walk, stoop, bend and reach with arms
• Lift/move up to 30 pounds frequently
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, reach, cut, mix, etc.
• Ability to taste and smell
