Granada Hotel & Bistro in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Line Cook to join the kitchen team. You will participate in service, plating, and production for the restaurant, events, and catering, following standardized recipes and safety protocols.

You should be a team player with strong communication skills, capable of working across stations, and help minimize waste while maintaining station pars and clean, organized workspaces.

Qualifications

• 2+ years culinary experience.
• 1+ years as a line cook.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to take direction.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Food handler’s certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene codes.
• Proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States may be required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and plate foods to order during service hours (salads, soups, appetizers, entrées, desserts).
• Cross-train on all prep stations (garde manger, sauté, grill, fry, pastry).
• Communicate missing or low items to management for restocking.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper storage of foods.
• Assist with training of new kitchen staff.
• Ensure guest dietary and allergy information is communicated to guests.
