The RIT Inn & Conference Center in Rochester, NY is seeking a line cook to join a fun, fast-paced team. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and support room service, delivering consistently high-quality meals.

Work alongside supportive coworkers with extensive training and flexible scheduling, plus free employee parking and opportunities for professional growth. Shifts are 6am–2pm or 2pm–11pm, with weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Maintain high standards in food safety and sanitation.
• Prepare dishes per menu specifications using grill, sauté, fry, bake and cold prep.
• Provide pleasant and professional services to hotel guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
• Prepare restaurant and room service foods per menu specifications using grill, sauté, fry, bake and cold prep.
• Prepare and execute daily specials.
• Maintain high standards in food safety through adherence to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Daily check of expiration items, freshness quality, cooler temperatures, rotation, out-of-stock items and waste levels.
• Maintain communication and collaboration with staff to achieve high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
• Assist in keeping the line and kitchen clean and organized.
• Properly stock for meal periods and re-stock items for next shift.
• Communicate equipment needs or malfunctions immediately.
• Respond to guest requests with appropriate sensitivity and immediacy.
