Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a temporary full-time Line Cook to join our senior living community kitchen. You will prepare meals from scratch, follow recipes, manage portions, and ensure attractive plate presentation while keeping the kitchen clean and compliant with regulations.

Shifts are Tuesday–Saturday 6:00am–2:30pm, for 6–8 weeks starting October 1st. Candidates should have at least 6 months of line cook experience in a high-volume setting and a friendly, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Must communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting.
• Proven success with basic culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods.
• Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards.
• Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation.
• Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times.
• Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction.
