Job summary

El Capitan Canyon is seeking a Cook responsible for preparing and cooking food, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager on daily specials and new menu items, ensuring inventory is available and kitchen standards are met.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, prior restaurant cook experience, and the ability to pass the Safe Food Handler certification within 60 days. Strong communication and basic computer skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food ordered by restaurant customers using a variety of kitchen equipment.
• Perform shift opening and closing duties, start equipment and clean units.
• Maintain kitchen and cooking areas, keep storage areas clean and organized.
• Restock products as needed during shift.
• Collaborate with Restaurant Manager on specials and new menu items.
• Check menu cycle to ensure items are available and notify manager of shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
