The Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook all food items according to menus, ensuring quick and correct order execution. You will work in a premier hotel environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; culinary or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
• Lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs; stand for long periods; work in extreme temperatures and under pressure.
• Proficiency in sauté, line, and broiler stations; read orders from a POS system.
• Ability to read orders and understand English; use proper kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food quickly and correctly following all recipes.
• Store food correctly with proper rotation and dating standards.
• Determine inventory and requisition from storeroom.
• Maintain high quality and presentation of food produced.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cooking area and personal hygiene.
• Report over prep to Chef or Sous Chef.
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude.
