Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Cook to join the Outback family. You’ll passionately prepare, portion, and cook items to quality standards, while upholding safety, cleanliness, and sanitation throughout each shift.

You’ll work on a fast-paced kitchen, with various stations, and support the team to deliver a great AUS-SOME dining experience for guests. Prior kitchen experience is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and work in hot or cold kitchen environments.
• Able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods while performing duties.
• Good vision for distance, color, depth, and peripheral, with focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion a diverse menu items quickly and accurately.
• Maintain equipment and keep kitchen area clean.
• Collaborate with team to meet prep and delivery standards.
• Ensure safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
• Prepare food using proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specs.
• Restock kitchen and cook line as needed.
