Job summary

SSP America is seeking a Line Cook to join our kitchen team in a fast-paced back-of-house environment. You will receive orders, prep dishes, and ensure the kitchen is stocked and running smoothly throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining station setup, requisitioning supplies, and preserving product quality through proper handling and cleanliness. SSP America offers a health and welfare plan and pension eligibility.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to follow detailed recipes and portion controls.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and health standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Maintain proper and adequate setup of the kitchen/station on a daily basis.
• Requisitioning and stocking of all required food, paper products, and condiments.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
• Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of machinery and equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
• Takes responsibility for quality of products served.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Other duties as assigned
