Job summary

Terre Haute Casino Resort is seeking cooks to safely prepare items for service in all outlets. You will follow standard recipes, work with staff to assemble dishes, and ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires reading and interpreting recipes, basic math for measurements, and adherence to health codes and safety procedures. Experience in a professional kitchen and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.
• At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of culinary terminology and ability to execute recipes on time.
• Ability to read, interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic kitchen equipment as a cook.
• Prepare and assemble menu items according to standard recipes.
• Provide excellent guest service to internal and external guests.
• Follow health codes, safety guidelines, and food costs controls.
• Read, write, and understand basic English for recipes and communication.
