Job summary

Seahorse NYC is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team in New York. You will execute and plate menu items from start to finish, prepare raw materials, and contribute to seasonal ingredient selection.

You must have at least one year of related experience, strong knife skills, food safety knowledge, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work with BOH and FOH staff, keep prep areas clean, and help develop new menu items.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience.
• General knife handling, food safety and sanitation knowledge.
• High volume restaurant experience required.
• Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and improve.

Responsibilities

• Execute and plate menu items from start to finish.
• Prepare raw materials and butcher proteins.
• Maintain cleanliness of BOH areas and equipment.
• Identify and use seasonal ingredients.
• Participate in development of new menu items.
• Collaborate with BOH and FOH staff.
• Deep clean BOH work areas and equipment.
