Job summary

Genuine Events 1 LLC seeks a Line Cook to join the kitchen team in New York. Under the Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager, you will prepare meats, seafood, vegetables and other items across broilers, ovens, grills and fryers while maintaining quality and portion standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of kitchen experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work long shifts in a fast-paced environment. Non-Exempt, on-site position with daily prep and service duties.

Qualifications

• Competencies include interpersonal, written and oral communication, organization, planning and professionalism.
• Dependability and ability to work long hours are emphasized.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in clear English.
• Minimum 2 years of kitchen preparation and cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and run production lines.
• Ensure spec guidelines are followed and report discrepancies.
• Inspect containers, materials and products for packing specs.
• Set up all stations by 11 am, maintain organization.
• Assist fellow cooks and develop daily specials.
• Record and rotate product, packaging and order information.
• Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items on broilers, ovens, grills and fryers.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work stations and proper plate presentation.
• Close kitchen properly and participate in closing checklist.
