Job summary

Calhoun's in Lenoir City is seeking a motivated Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You’ll work on a line station (Window, Grill, Salad or Fry) and prepare items from recipes while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You'll stock your station, assemble menu items, monitor temperatures, keep ingredients fresh, and collaborate with the kitchen team during busy service. Prior line cook experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, team-player mentality and strong work ethic.
• Ability to smile under pressure and provide quality service.
• Basic math skills and understanding of measurements & conversions.
• Ability to use a digital scale and thermometer.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/move throughout shift.
• Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and food preparation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock your assigned station before each shift.
• Cook and assemble menu items according to recipes and specifications.
• Monitor food quality and temperatures using digital thermometers.
• Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout your station.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues.
• Learn new menu items and seasonal specials as they are introduced.
• Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy service periods.
