Job summary

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course is seeking team members for culinary roles across Casual Dining, Sports Bar, Banquets, Outdoor Events, Racing concessions and Steakhouse. You will prepare and cook food according to standard recipes and assist in presenting meals that delight guests.

You will work under the Sous Chef, communicate needs, follow daily specials, keep stations clean, and ensure high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk 30% of the time and stand 70%.
• Bending, lifting up to 100 lbs as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-noise, smoking-environment context.
• Position requires attention to safety and cleanliness.
• Welcomes a team-oriented, professional service approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food products according to standard recipe for various dining outlets.
• Prepare, plate, and present food to meet guest satisfaction and profitability goals.
• Report to Sous Chef at start of shift for instructions on specials or menu changes.
• Communicate station needs, waste, and discrepancies with sous chef.
• As directed, prepare and present menu items according to recipe specifications.
• Assist in other kitchen areas as directed by Sous Chef.
• Interact with guests and coworkers professionally.
• Set up and maintain a clean, sanitary work area at all times.
