Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a dedicated team member for its culinary department in Pennsylvania. The role involves cooking and plating food across casual dining, sports bar, and banquet settings while maintaining high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include following recipes, communicating with the Sous Chef, and ensuring a clean, sanitary work area. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a busy, noisy environment.

Qualifications

• Walking 30% of the time.
• Standing 70% of the time.
• Bending and lifting 10% of the time.
• Climbing heights over 10 feet.
• Able to lift/move up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to see 20/20, color, and/or peripherally.
• This is a smoking environment in guest areas and a non-smoking, with the exception of designated areas, employee environment.
• High Noise Level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food products according to standard recipe - For either Casual Dining, Sports Bar, Team Member Dining Room, Banquets, Outdoor Events, Racing concession or Steakhouse.
• Prepare, plate, and present food products of various cooking methods in order to assist in reaching guest satisfaction, workforce strength, profitability, and compliance goals.
• Report to Sous Chef at start of shift to receive instructions as daily specials or menu changes.
• Communicates station needs, waste, and discrepancies with sous chef.
• As directed by sous chef, prepare and present menu items according to recipe specification and presentation expectations.
• Assist in other areas of kitchen as directed by Sous Chef.
• Interact with guests and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
• Set-up & maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
