Kansas City Live! is seeking a Cook to join the team for Guy Fieri's Dive & Taco Joint in the Kansas City area. The role involves preparing and cooking orders, controlling waste, and maintaining sanitary kitchen areas to meet health standards.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of fast-paced kitchen experience, culinary training preferred, and the ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to succeed.

Formación

• At least one year experience cooking on a fast paced kitchen line.
• Culinary certified training preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation.
• Communication with other cooks, wait staff and supervisors is important.
• Reading and writing abilities used for recipes, scheduling, and inventory.
• Math skills for quantities and variances are used frequently.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food handler card as required by local/state rules.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
• Restock items as needed through the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area to meet health requirements.
• Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including reach-ins, walk-ins and counters.
• Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• May assist by performing ware washer or other kitchen duties as needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments; may interact with guests.
• Perform more than one task at a time.
