Job summary

Light Switch Coffee & Bar in New York is seeking a part-time kitchen team member to prepare and assemble dishes to order, ensuring quality and speed during service. You will handle cold and selected hot prep, maintain high standards, and work efficiently in a small kitchen.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in cafe/bar/restaurant settings, can work under pressure, and are detail-oriented with proper food safety practices. Immediate start with a PM shift slated Sun–Fri.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years culinary experience in cafe/bar/restaurant.
• Experience creating and assembling dishes to order.
• Attention to quality control and execution.
• NYC Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Execute prep lists before and between rushes.
• Fulfill food orders quickly and consistently when the floor is busy.
• Cold and some hot preparations, assembly and portioning to a high standard.
