Job summary

Dear Olivia Bar and Kitchen in South Florida seeks a dedicated Line Cook to manage the cook station, receive and execute guest orders, and plate dishes to our high quality standards in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. The role requires following written instructions, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and maintaining sanitation with a 90%+ audit score.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to lift pots, pans, products, and items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Possess a valid food handlers certification.
• Must be able to perform simple math calculations and understand units and measures.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift, stoop, and bend.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintains a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts, following time-off procedures, and avoiding no-call/no-show.
• Follows sanitation and safety standards and aims for high audit scores.
• Meets uniform, appearance, and grooming standards.
• Knows all menu items and can explain specials to front-of-house staff.
• Communicates orders to station cooks with accuracy.
• Prepares and verifies that menu items meet quality standards 100% of the time.
• Communicates with expediter/server when orders are ready for delivery.
• Follows receiving and storage procedures.
• Performs sidework as directed.
• Follows end-of-shift checkout procedures with accuracy.
• Supports team by helping with station duties and sidework.
