Job summary

Amante’s, a beloved Florida restaurant, is seeking a Line Cook to manage the cook station, receive and communicate orders, and plate dishes to our quality standards. You will maintain a clean workstation, follow policies, and ensure accuracy in prep and service.

The role requires following all safety and sanitation standards, reliability, and ability to stand for long periods. A valid food handlers certification is required, with opportunities to grow within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Must follow written and oral Instructions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to perform simple math and understand units/measures.
• Stand and move for extended periods.
• Must have a valid food handlers certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage cook station setup, prep, and plating to quality standards.
• Accurately communicates orders to station cooks and expediter.
• Maintain sanitation and safety, and keep a clean workstation.
• Prepare par levels and prep lists, minimize waste.
• Assist teammates and support end-of-shift procedures.
• Explain specials and menu items to front-of-house staff.
