Job summary

Doubletree by Hilton DFW North in Irving, TX is seeking a Line Cook to ensure flawless preparation and presentation of menu items and to deliver an exceptional dining experience in a fast-paced kitchen. You will support the Executive Chef and help maintain high standards of quality and consistency.

What You’ll Do:

Our Cook is responsible for the flawless preparation and presentation of the menu created by the Executive Chef and for making sure our guests receive an unparalleled dining experience. No pressure.

Here are just some of the tasks you’ll be responsible for on a daily basis:

• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over-prepare estimated needs.
• Prepare food consistent with recipe cards.
• Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas.
• Operate and properly clean cooking and kitchen equipment and supplies.

You have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year’s experience as a prep line/cook. Most importantly, you’re someone who is capable of thinking on their feet and able to keep up in high-pressure situations.

When You’re Here:

There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and working on slippery floors.
