Cook - The Ridge Environmental Ed. Center is seeking a Kitchen Staff member to assist the Chef or General Manager by preparing, cooking, and serving food on site in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic high school education or equivalent, culinary knowledge, and food safety certification. You will help with station upkeep, equipment checks, and adherence to safety procedures while delivering friendly service to guests.

Qualifikationen

• Partial High School education is acceptable; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Culinary knowledge is required.
• Food Safety certification and strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively assists customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize problems and communicate to management.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, and supervisor instructions.
• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas for cleanliness and function.
• Operate food station, including station checklist, temperature log, and signage.
• Requisition food supplies, equipment, and appliances based on future needs.
• Monitor menus and spending to ensure economical meal preparation.
• Report safety issues to a manager promptly.
