Job summary

Bowl & Barrel is seeking a professional line cook to prepare food to exact specifications. You’ll set up stations for service and assist the Manager with daily tasks while contributing to Creating Remarkable Memories for guests.

Responsibilities include cooking menu items with the kitchen team and maintaining high quality, timely plates, while complying with sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients and equipment.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices.
• Comply with food and beverage regulations and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow Manager’s instructions.
• Clean up station and properly store leftover food.
• Stock Line Amounts appropriately.
• Ensure that all plates come out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
