You will handle daily preparation in pantry, fry stations, or other kitchen areas, ensuring production standards and quality while maintaining a sanitary work environment.

The role emphasizes consistent quality, recipe adherence, proper temperature control, and efficient prep planning.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• Three - Six months in a food/beverage services environment.
• Strong knowledge of operating industrial sized ovens and cooking ranges.
• Knowledge of preparing different cuisines, relishes, soups and salads.
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Understanding of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English.
• Able to communicate information about hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start prep for items prepared ahead of time and manage portions per order.
• Maintain proper temperatures and rotate perishables per SOP.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and manage shift storage and waste control.
