Job summary

Esplanade Madeira Ranch, Elk Grove’s premier 55+ resort-style community, is building a dynamic opening team for a Full-Time Line Cook. Working with our Executive Chef, you will help craft seasonal menus, elevated bar offerings, and curated wine pairings in a busy, hospitality-focused setting under Troon.

Weekend availability is required; this role offers tips, shift meals, and the chance to grow within a global leader in golf and community management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and speak English to communicate with staff and follow manuals.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training completed or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sufficient quantities of food per production plan.
• Use whole food products and minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas.
• Notify supervisor of equipment issues, shortages, or overages.
• Request inventory and receive supplies for daily production.
• Ensure proper storage, dating and rotation of food items.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Contribute to a high-quality, hospitality-driven dining experience.
