Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a line cook responsible for maintaining, setting up, food production and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl and other food items prepared on the front line station.

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so shifts vary; candidates should have a current Food Handler Card and 3 years cooking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years cooking experience preferred.
• Broiler cooking knowledge preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Basic math skills for recipes and portions.
• English language sufficient for simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily production items and follow recipes.
• Read and apply recipes, portion control and plating standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report hazards.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed.
