Job summary

H.E.B. is seeking a Line Cook / BBQ Pitmaster to deliver fast, fresh, and friendly service in a busy store kitchen. You will prep ingredients for the line and ensure adherence to food safety standards.

You will master daily production, handle multiple cooking venues, and assist with catering orders as needed. Experience in commercial foodservice and strong culinary knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Culinary certification, or equivalent culinary training / work experience.
• Experience in commercial foodservice preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, slices, dices, chops ingredients per recipes and SOPs.
• Prepackages condiments for prepared items.
• Maintains sanitation and temperature integrity of food and equipment.
• Assists in multiple cooking venues and catering orders as needed.
• Masters recipe preparation and daily production to meet demand.
• Presents, packages, and plates fresh product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
