Job summary

The Lodge at Sonoma is seeking a dedicated line cook to ensure proper service from the front line through quality control. You will train line cooks, ensure sanitation, and maintain high standards of food preparation.

Responsibilities include checking recipes, monitoring line setup, controlling waste, and supporting cost-saving measures while maintaining quality in a hotel restaurant setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cooking and kitchen practices to produce consistent quality.
• One to two years of related kitchen experience.
• Ability to follow recipes, SOPs and portion standards.

Responsibilities

• Check items against recipe cards and verify use records.
• Ensure efficient line setup and maximum service throughput.
• Maintain sanitation and follow the kitchen policy for clean-as-you-go.
• Prepare food to consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Monitor equipment and temperatures; rotate perishables per SOP.
• Identify out-of-stock items and assist in restocking and planning.
