Job summary

Foodland Kahala Market is seeking skilled line cooks to join our culinary team in Hawaiʻi. Candidates should be energetic, creative, and able to prepare high-quality foods that reflect Hawaiʻi’s diverse food culture while maintaining safety and consistency.

Both full-time (40 hours) and part-time (24+ hours) positions are available. Benefits include medical/dental/drug/vision insurance and retirement plans. Relocation is not provided, and on-island candidates will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knife skills and basic cooking techniques required.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation methods, and safe food handling practices.

Kahala Mkt.is looking for a Line Cooks to join our market's culinary team! We are seeking high energy, creative culinary professionals who are passionate about food and delivering exceptional food experiences to the community.

Our cooks play a key role in preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality foods that reflect Hawaiʻi’s diverse food culture while maintaining consistent standards, food safety, and operational excellence. Cooksmust have knowledge of cooking techniques & procedures, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operational systems.Line Cooksmust have the ability to work and communicate well with others, work both independently and in a team, follow directions, as well as maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company.Cooks also maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observe company dress code, and support the company culture, values, goals and mission. Our Cooks are essential to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality food to our guests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and standardized procedures

Desired Work Experience

Previous culinary experience in a high-volume food establishment, restaurant, or prepared foods operation in a market

Experience working as a Line Cook or similar role

Familiarity with fast-paced kitchen environments and production cooking

Physical Requirements
