HI Steaks in Hawaii is seeking Prep Cooks to join our culinary team. We value high energy, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay ranges from $17.34 to $21.00 per hour depending on experience. This is a full-time, on-island position with no relocation assistance; candidates with open availability will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knife skills and basic cooking techniques required.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation methods, and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and standardized procedures.
• TB Clearance required (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Prep Cooks must have knowledge of cooking techniques & procedures, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operational systems. Prep Cooks must have the ability to work and communicate well with others, work both independently and in a team, follow directions, as well as maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company. Prep Cooks must also maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observe company dress code, and support the company culture, values, goals and mission. Our Cooks are essential to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality food to our guests.

Desired Work Experience

Previous culinary experience in a high-volume food establishment, restaurant, or prepared foods operation

Experience working as a Prep Cook or similar role

Familiarity with fast-paced kitchen environments and production cooking
