Foodland Super Market, Ltd in Kahala Market, Hawaii, is seeking Line Cooks to join our culinary team. Cooks will prepare and cook fresh, high-quality foods reflecting Hawaii's diverse food culture, while maintaining safety and consistency.

Ideal candidates have strong knife skills, ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, and a positive attitude. This is a full-time, on-island position offering 40 hours weekly with benefits; relocation not provided.

Competenze

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knife skills and basic cooking techniques required.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation methods, and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and standardized procedures.
• TB Clearance required (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Cooksmust have knowledge of cooking techniques & procedures, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operational systems.Line Cooksmust have the ability to work and communicate well with others, work both independently and in a team, follow directions, as well as maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company.Cooks also maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observe company dress code, and support the company culture, values, goals and mission. Our Cooks are essential to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality food to our guests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Desired Work Experience

Previous culinary experience in a high-volume food establishment, restaurant, or prepared foods operation

Experience working as a Line Cook or similar role

Familiarity with fast-paced kitchen environments and production cooking

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in various temperature environments (hot, cold, wet, and dry)

Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work
